And Kirishima kissed the nape of his neck tenderly, as if saying with everything but words "Yeah, I know, thank you my love..."

And he felt himself relax, breathing deeply as if his lungs were finally working after having been petrified, sleep creeping up on him after Kirishima had chased it all night.

In his half-sleep brain he thought about where his doctors usually put the stethoscope to listen to his heart, and then grabbed Kirishima's hand that was draped over his body loosely and with no purpose.

Bakugou figured that Kirishima would get tired eventually and would fall asleep, but when he woke up in the middle of the night and could still feel Kirishima's movement and breath as if he was awake he knew he had to do something.

He knows he doesn't need protection or anything like that, that he's a hero and can hold a fight, he proved that more than once. But it was Kirishima. And things are different with Kirishima.

And Bakugou would be lying if he said he didn't know what changed. And he wanted to help his boyfriend, but god, he missed Kirishima's arms around him like that. It made him feel safe, protected and loved.
