Debate between myself and my boyfriend:

If a small snek constricts around a big snek, but not in a way that really hurts either snek, is that a snek hug?

I want a #linux #terminal with #gpu acceleration, tabs and the ability to have a copy of it running with a Quake like keybinding that makes it slide down from above the display.

Google at one point let you buy out your own Ad Placements, so you could literally pay Google to not give you ads across the internet.

They killed it because as far as I can tell not enough people were using it (nobody knew it was a thing)

And the important bit is that instead of Adblock where websites get nothing, there is instead no change in the profit to websites.

Honestly the problem is this incentivises Google to jack up the cost per ad for Ad-skip-payers.

The cost by the way would be around $0.0001–$0.001 per ad you don't see. You could chuck $20 in and be good for months if not years.

IIRC The way it worked was your ads would be sold the standard way, the way ads are sold: Instant Auctions; and then instead of serving that ad, it deducts the cost of that bit from your account instead and serves you an empty ad/nothing.

Call me Crazy, but I think a lot of people would pay for this today, But google would never offer it because it would make it obvious to legislators just how much of an Ads Monopoly they hold.

Idea: Someone get me a LifePo

But put bread on either side
Some Meat, Thinly Sliced
Mayo, Mustard, Pepper
And remove the LifePo because that's not how a synth uses those, but I appreciate it regardless.

Fuck, watching The Pitt is _hard_

How do you tell a 5 year old that her sister drowned saving her life.

My default assumption is that Traffic that leaves my LAN is recorded and potentially decrypted immediately if not at a later date. (In fairness probably the later date)

I run my own network infra, virtually nothing off the shelf, I run Linux and not Windows, IoT devices are on their own network […]

The Burn in Star Trek Discovery would have made a lot more sense imo if it turned out to have been because someone was trying to stabilize Omega using Dilithium.
