Mum’s birthday cake this year was a Black Velvet with blackberry compote. First time baking with black cocoa, and it truly lived up to its name! 🖤 And oh myyyy, was it rich and decadent…

Yesterday was a wild ride… went to a Sox game (eh, it was Pokémon Night), and we had a tire pop on the drive home. About an hour, a lot of >70 mph passing traffic, and much crawling under my friend’s car later, the spare was on, and I finally made it home to find… this… no sender name, no clue?!? 😆

Had fun in Mum’s cutting garden, and beat the rain by about five minutes!

Collaborative effort for the June family birthdays over the weekend… I made blackberry lavender jam, my Mum and Aunt saved the day when it didn’t set, Dad baked the layers and made the frosting, then I finally assembled and decorated. It was darn tasty.

Finished a sweater for my cousin’s newest lil guy. Despite being firmly child-free myself, I freaking lose my shite over baby knits. They’re just so cute, and quick, and gahhhhhh. 😆
