Of all the sweaters I’ve knit, the Porty Pullover designed by Gudrun Johnston is my favorite. 🧶

I’ve only attempted designing a knitting pattern once. Back in 2013, in the midst of a severe MS relapse, I published my fingerless mitt pattern on Ravelry. You can find it there for free: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/notes-on-a-fingerless-mitt 🧶

Another favorite knit of 2024, the Butterfly Geo Cushion (pattern by the exceptional Dee Hardwicke). It’s now officially Walter’s pillow. 🐶🧶

One of my favorite knits from last year—the Meadow Vest from Dee Hardwicke’s The Knitted Fabric (including weaving in all the ends). It is so bright and colorful, but tastefully so, with the potential to be versatile. 🧶

I love test-knitting for Gudrun Johnston. Her designs, influenced by her Shetland heritage, combine romance with clever details.

I recently test-knit the Audrey in Unst vest for her using Jamieson’s of Shetland yarn and Merchant & Mills buttons and had so much fun integrating it into my wardrobe. 🧶
