As someone who has spent tons of time around people with dementia, no. You're not a bad person. It takes a lot of energy for things like that and it's better if you conserve your energy for another time rather than force yourself into that situation and potentially get upset or frustrated with him

I watched The Perk of Being a Wallflower when I was in middle school. Yeah, sure, I saw boys smoochin on screen but you know what I also saw? Multiple perspectives of complex childhood trauma that made me feel more human and not like a husk of myself. Banned books are important. They change lives

My biggest complaint about the movie version of The Perks of Being a Wallflower is that in the official trailer, Patrick said a very specific quote that I would repeat all the time because I thought it was funny but then that quote WAS NEVER IN THE ACTUAL FILM!!!! I was SO UPSET 😭😭😭

I don't think there's necessarily a "most famous" banned book but my personal favorite is "And Tango Makes Three" because it's actually based on a real life event of a baby penguin being adopted by a gay penguin couple.
