fun fact: if you search google type "ext:pdf" in the end. It will only list you documents. This way you can search for more serious sources on topics.

PDF is a file extension (document.pdf) typically used for all kinds of documents that you're not supposed to edit. Like books, articles and reports. The software you use to read them is a PDF Reader. However, you can also use your browser. Most browsers have a PDF reader on board.
