I really liked the segment about defensive environments. I suspected Carolina’s defense has been giving up tougher chances, so it helped to have it quantified. It goes a little way to explaining Freddie’s results, though giving up early goals has been part of why he’s facing those. We need Slavin!

But if you see lots of injustice with little way to address it, you’re left with the constant effects of anger on you without the ability to use the anger effectively

When he and Kol are both out they make a massive pair

Robidas and Nadeau had bigger games last night, but Felix has been so impressive. Much as I’ve liked Pavlychev and Vierling has been a pleasant surprise, Felix truly drives that line. I can see why the team has taken a long view on his development - his IQ is very high, now his body is catching up

X2 has to be the best coaster I’ve been on by far

Given how they misused Nadeau last year (and he still led the Canadians in goals), not sure they’d let Poirier shine anyway

I miss having Turbo on the Canes. He could play anywhere in the lineup and elevate his linemates.

My favorite mask designer. I love the videos he puts out of how he makes them. Total works of art

Ryabkin is back though! I’m still bullish on Gleb!, especially when he’s with Ryabkin.

The fact that the Canes have good underlying numbers on the pp but hover right around the bottom in actual goals is driving me up the wall

Very nice to hear everyone is getting close to healthy. Hopefully this little break is helping the rest of the group stay that way

Have you tried Willy’s Wonderland? He doesn’t speak a single line of dialogue, but he is so extremely Nic Cage. I loved it

So looking forward to his return. They’ve stepped up in his absence, but nobody can replace him

lol, that usually means I’m too anxious to sit. Also the knees don’t like popping up and down
December 1, 2025 at 1:20 AM
If the Canes want to sign him does that mean they’d have to do some sort of buyout, or is this an indication they haven’t shown enough interest in bringing him to NA?

Awful news! Hopefully he gets a full recovery and is back on track for a strong playoff run

Milic really played great for the Jets tonight, the loss wasn’t on him

It really made me wonder how much the minor was worth. Linear algebra I liked better, that was neat

That origami class is giving me nightmares of when I took discrete math thinking it couldn’t be that hard after dif eq.

The last two years it seemed like Knoblauch maybe was the coaching answer the Oilers needed, but this year it’s gotta be at least a little bit a coaching issue. Because the other issue is roster construction, but guess who will probably get the blame first…

It did feel like a problem for the Oilers. They should consider working on that

One would think he might have picked a team with the right kind of roster for his style. But then again, it’s New York I guess
