I really liked the segment about defensive environments. I suspected Carolina’s defense has been giving up tougher chances, so it helped to have it quantified. It goes a little way to explaining Freddie’s results, though giving up early goals has been part of why he’s facing those. We need Slavin!

But if you see lots of injustice with little way to address it, you’re left with the constant effects of anger on you without the ability to use the anger effectively

Robidas and Nadeau had bigger games last night, but Felix has been so impressive. Much as I’ve liked Pavlychev and Vierling has been a pleasant surprise, Felix truly drives that line. I can see why the team has taken a long view on his development - his IQ is very high, now his body is catching up

If the Canes want to sign him does that mean they’d have to do some sort of buyout, or is this an indication they haven’t shown enough interest in bringing him to NA?

The last two years it seemed like Knoblauch maybe was the coaching answer the Oilers needed, but this year it’s gotta be at least a little bit a coaching issue. Because the other issue is roster construction, but guess who will probably get the blame first…
