I don’t agree. You can’t spend a campaign talking about someone as a danger & a fascist & then stand beside them and grin as they joke about it. The back pat was the death knell. Mamdani may not have used the wrong words but the vibe & image is everything. Hate to say it, Trump played him on this.

If one moment you’re earnestly calling someone a fascist and talking about the danger they pose, and then the next moment you’re standing next to them with a big grin and treating it all as a joke then you’ve been played. Hate to say it but Trump got one over him here.
