The band's visit was enabled by the Green Band Association.
The band was 132 strong, including a number of alumni who were invited along. The cameraman moves around amongst the band members, letting us see their joy at being there. Nearly an hour long, but worth making the time to watch!

We are standing among the crowd in the square, waiting as the band approaches, stops to perform 'Sing Sing Sing', then continues the morning parade. The new students following behind are the 118th class who could not have guessed at the difficult times that lay ahead for them with Covid.

2025 Rose Parade. It contains beautifully filmed brief scenes from practice sessions, Pasadena Bandfest, Disneyland, the Rose Parade and the Benefit Concert. Kumagai-san has clearly captured some amazing footage and, hopefully, we may eventually see longer videos of these performances from GBA.

The tune was originally recorded in 1983 by the British band Shakatak, which had become popular in Japan, winning awards in Japan for the best international instrumental album six years running.

stationary performance was given, under the shelter of a canopy. Whilst this performance doesn’t have quite the visual appeal of the outdoor parade, you can hear all the instruments playing clearly, not just those passing the camera! (The rain stopped later and the afternoon parade went ahead.)

‘Kaze Ni Naritai’ had been KT’s signature piece, with which they usually ended performances, for several years until ‘Sing Sing Sing’ took over.
