Covered the Detroit Lions for Lionswire before it was called Lionswire, http://Lionsgab.com the Detroit Free Press and did freelance work for http://NFL.com.
Getting smoked by the teams in your division is as telltale a sign that you are too predictable.

Lions couldn’t run, got exposed in coverage, turned the ball over and got sacked into oblivion by GB and MIN this season.

Chicago is gonna do it next week too

The second half meltdowns over the last few games really speak to poor and predictable game planning.

If Morton is still helping, define the game plan, I really think they need to move on.

8 turnovers in the first 15 games SIX today.

How is that not down by contact?
December 26, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell are the right guys for this job, but Holmes needed some some Humble Pie and Dan needs to reevaluate the offensive and defensive approaches.

I understand, trying to maintain consistency after losing both coordinators, but a refresh might have made more sense.

Saw that one coming from 10 miles away.

Safeties have been crashing the middle and nobody’s been setting the edge
December 26, 2025 at 12:28 AM
I like Ian Eagles’ reverse jinx there, talking about how many kicks Bates has missed rather than how many he’s made and then the kick is perfect
December 26, 2025 at 12:24 AM
Minnesota knows the ball is coming out fast so they’re just volleyball blocking now
December 26, 2025 at 12:22 AM
How did Raymond pass Mel Gray? I feel like he was the Lions returner for like 20 years.
December 26, 2025 at 12:17 AM
We know the lions aren’t allowed to get safeties
December 26, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Me this morning: Lions vs. Brosmer? This might finally be a game with some turnovers.

Me now: So close, yet SO SO far.
December 26, 2025 at 12:12 AM
I don’t understand why the lions don’t go no huddle to prevent Minnesota from being able to call all of these exotic defensive looks
December 26, 2025 at 12:11 AM
200 yards of total offense between both teams? This is horrifying football.
December 26, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Wow, they are going to finish the season with a losing record
December 26, 2025 at 12:01 AM
Where are the short crossers to Jamo? They are absolutely effective against a heavy blitzing team like this.
December 25, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Anybody know why there are DNA strands painted in the end zones?
December 25, 2025 at 11:48 PM
What are we doing in a defensive battle just tossing up a YOLO ball?
December 25, 2025 at 11:36 PM
This lion’s pass rush is pretty ferocious against backup tackles. Maybe they need to Tonya Harding all starting offensive tackles on next year‘s schedule.
December 25, 2025 at 11:33 PM
That wasn’t a hit on a defenseless receiver?
December 25, 2025 at 11:25 PM
They just had to work in some country
December 25, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Why expose Goff to needless hits?
December 25, 2025 at 11:02 PM
It’s a shame they’re not going to be able to keep AQM, but maybe he plays himself into a fourth round compensatory pick contract
December 25, 2025 at 10:58 PM
TeSlaa basically took a rock bottom off a ladder there
December 25, 2025 at 10:54 PM
This is not the 2024 Detroit Lions offensive line. You cannot just run up the gut on the goal line.

Geez, this Stranger Things ad is not spoiler free in any way shape or form
