In August 2023, I rented a car and drove around the area. It’s a big tourist destination for residents of nearby Gulf countries and you can often find families having picnics in green meadows.

Also got to see a baobab tree and watch out for camels on the road!🐪🐪

Definitely an expert on this area, hope I didn’t mess up my explanation 💀🤞

Here are some cool articles about how the shale revolution is powered by beans mostly grown in Northwest India:

There are pretty poor emissions standards for vehicles and industry. Or it’s not being enforced. Where I’m at in Rajasthan I’m still seeing vehicles from the 1980s-90s belching smoke.

Crop stubble burning in the winter to prepare fields for next season needs to be addressed systematically too

This is me in basin analysis, most of my field is dependent on hydrocarbon research money. Of course I disagree with the actions of the big corps and support climate efforts but there would be little interest in sed basins and the secrets they hold about geologic deep time if not for the o/g money

I’m a geologist who likes to blend my field with anthropology and history, I plan to start posting things about the effects of local and regional geology on the history and culture of an area/people. Drop a follow if you’d like to see that!

Been a fan since the Paharikawa days, keep it up!

Hi, I’m a M.S. Geology student doing sed basin research in New Zealand. I’d like to be able to join and contribute to the community!

I don’t have a full researchgate or google scholar but if needed I can send two posters of my undergrad or my post-bacc research.
