Instead of waiting for minutes until the computer spits out the subpar visualization of your nerdy wishlist, just take a pencil and paper and practice for 15 minutes a day. Everyone has 15 minutes to spare. Just doodle around and train your finger muscles. Make it your little ritual.

…especially when they have a non-art related job and a family to support and bills to pay. I’m at this point of life myself and I too was tempted to use AI once or twice. I fooled around with the AI tools on Deviant Art but the results were always soulless slop, no matter what prompts I used.

I get it. Art is fucking hard. It takes time to master a craft and get halfway good at something and failure and setbacks are bloody discouraging. I understand why someone would resort to AI if they desperately want to create something but don’t have the time to actually practice…
