Life is so much funnier if you believe in magical thinking. At 13 I stopped dead in my tracks reading Clock DVA in Sounds on Burroughs '23 thing'. 23 was my thing. As it happened Burroughs descriptions were not a patch on my experiences. Met him once but too young and shy to explain. Huge regret.

the voucher was passed along the hierarchy of McDonalds staff,with much shrugging and shaking of heads, but i got my 'meal'.Obv i didnt touch the burger but the fries and (espec) the coke are why im still alive.

its a battered,clearly obsolete voucher for a basic burger,fries drink meal. I study it,but there's no chance. In tiny lettering iy says 'obsolete w/out such and such'.
