That was a tactical battle between two very good teams. A little bit more quality on the final pass from Nigeria would have given them more looks on goal. Extra time we go!

To conclude, my advice to INEOs is they need to be more decisive and not be afraid to take risks. Change course if things don't pan out.

This squad is still flawed. The financial situation will make it more difficult to revamp. They have invested in the academy and some exciting up and coming players may be a backstop to inability to spend. United is a massive club but financially at the moment they are middling.

Anyone that has run a business knows that these decisions are hard when you want to turn a company of this profile around. This turnaround project was never going to be instant no matter how frustrating it is for fans.

Naturally most fans won't agree with this assessment but the state of the squad and the organization before they took over was a slow crashing disaster. I don't fault them for the Amorim appointment, it was exciting and it was worth a shot.
