My qualifications are that none of this past year has surprised me. I studied enough history and Sociology that I've seen this coming since 2014.
Mpls law enforcement into Renee Good's murder scene. And since they have been handing out food and drinks to protestors. Is there a section of the city where they are doing something different? I imagine my friend is only in one portion.

They set up road blocks around the murder site to collect evidence. According to people I know living there, it also protected people coming there to pay tribute. It started with protestors blocking ICE out of the space to keep the murder scene protected from ICE, since they refused to let

Had they done it together it might have accomplished something. I'd say it's 50/50 if they actually deploy them at this point. It would probably be higher if other Governors were doing the same. Either way, the next likely thing to happen is friendly fire between untrained ICE agents.

Will work first, but if ICE continues the direction they are going, we are going to need literal defense. That said, my point was strategic. A bunch of states activating (not yet deploying) National Guard is a statement.

Amounts, local law enforcement doesn't have the resources (and I think funding that would also be pretty concerning). Aside from a coup, I think the military or national guard or military are what we've got. There's no good answers. I'm all for continuing protests and maybe something else

Again DC National Guard is the president's national guard. As the Minneapolis mayor said, we don't have the weapons to fight them on our side. I get where your coming from also. And my hope would be the activation would be enough. But when ICE just starts straight up slaughtering, like mass

It doesn't matter what the name is, that's the set up. Trump has been consistently disallowed from using them. Unless he federalizes them, they report to their Governors. DC doesn't have a governor so the DC NG always reports to the president.
But yeah different branches tend to compete.

Own taxes lol. So the point is it is highly likely they have any response to that. So it's worth doing. Because while we will win this and they clearly haven't planned for the long haul, there's going to be a lot of blood loss if the states don't step in and protect their rights.

Trained for it. So I don't think they made a plan for when all the Blue Governors essentially declare preparation for war. Just like they for some reason thought they could threaten to cut of Minnesota's funding and it would mean something. They are a donor state. They can just keep their

Again, some did. And someone ordered them to perform gardening duties. Either way though what really matters is doing it. Watching ICE flail (dangerously, toddler's with guns are still dangerous) in Minneapolis right now, I don't think they expected resistance and made a real plan for it, or

They are going to violently escalate. It's already happening. And while that sucks, it does mean we're about at the rock bottom part. But every single one of us needs to participate. Especially if you're white. You can't sit this one out. Every single person can help somehow and needs to.

Because some have doesn't mean all of them. Some have disobeyed orders also. I personally know National Guard members who are in it for the ppl. So, yeah. You're wrong. Plus they are trained to follow orders. Which could have worked against us, but we won in the courts. So use it against them

You need to tell your Governor to activate the National Guard. When they executed Good, they started our version of Kristallnacht. They started a time clock where they will try to terrorize us into submission before the clock runs out. Every Governor needs to activate their Guard with Minnesota.
