I know deep down the answer is fundamentally because they are racists but, why would they spend so much effort alienating a group whose political wavering is a fundamental reason that they are currently in power at all? What do they get out of it? What is the _point_?

Also if you go back and list everyone's top episodes from (pick a decade) the 90s, a lot of them are going to be filler/silly episodes that would be the first to get cut if everything was condensed into the tightest delivery possible.
