The sobbing mess he left on Amazon lily is gone. The man in front of him is confident and sure of himself. The mentally stable law wouldn't have considered making such a rash decision, but that man doesn't currently exist. So they become allies.

Law's mental health deteriorates rapidly on punk hazard. He's virtually alone (Caesar and Monet can't be trusted). The weather makes his body ache and reminds him of minion island. At his lowest, strawhat and his crew show up.

He spirals, thinking that if the crew'd left earlier, maybe ace could've survived. Eventually, his fear gets the best of him and he decides that going solo is for the best. His crew isn't happy about the plan, but they respect their captain and leave for zou when it's time.
