I am way too much of an American optimist. This is not the first time this country has found a hardship no one else has ever endured and triumphed over it. It always cost us dearly, but in the long run, we righted the ship.

Every time there is a major crisis in the world, everyone turns their eyes to us. They are not wrong to do so. ‘To those whom much is given, much is expected’ is an old adage, but it is also true. Most of us feel that it’s our obligation.

One more. America is blessed with resources and river ways and agricultural land beyond belief. Our geography, climates, along with the people is what has made us so powerful. There is a responsibility when you’ve been gifted with so much as a country to others. Giving to Ukraine is just.

Your independence is as important to us ours. Same for Greenland and the Panama Canal. We do NOT land grab just because. It’s about precious metals. I say that if Canada & Greenland have what’s needed, we do fair trade! That’s who we are. Not colonizers. We fought a revolution against that.

We’re furious at what he has done to Canada. You all are our brothers and sisters to the north. When 9/11 happened, Canada’s comfort to this country was unparalleled.

We know that. It still breaks our hearts to hear it and know that this country has hurt yours. If we could, we’d throw up a shield over Canada and protect you from the insanity in D.C.

I have an analogy about America. It’s like an aircraft carrier. The country is so vast creating unity is hard. It turns slowly, but it does turn and it’s turning. You may not think so but those here can feel it. When it turns, watch out! An enemy foreign or domestic (Trump) always learns a lesson.

We do need Canadians to believe in us. We’re not the morons in all the media clips. We’re still here and need you guys up there to believe in the country below you’ve always known. Give us time.

The truth. The media focuses on those people because it gives them a story that sells. They’re the idiots out there that do that, but true America is mad & creating a groundswell against this insanity. People are protesting countrywide, organizing, calling their congress members. Fighting back.

It is stunning. I love an hour south and seeing the fields o color even from the freeway is stunning. To step inside is like wonderland.
