I was one of the bellringers for tonight's Lantern Service at Old North Church.

Somerville neighbors, there's a protest at 17:30 in Powderhouse Park. Tell ICE we don't want them here and we definitely don't want people disappearing for speaking out.

PEENT! I spotted my first Woodcock of the season today. If you've ever seen one of these delightfully funny birds, you'll know how exciting this is.

Last week I went out to the Whipple Observatory in AZ and learned all about the telescopes and the reality of being an astronomer. I took in the sights while I was at it and got some good photos too!

Really, NASA? Are you erasing people now? There wasn't a single mention of policy in this article. Just the real story of a hardworking inspired scientist who overcame adversity to follow her passions. I think we used to call that the American dream.
This profile has been scrubbed from the site. Rose Ferreira grew up without reliable electricity, immigrated to NY, then survived homelessness and cancer on her way to NASA. She was so moved by images from the Webb telescope she wept. This is what’s at stake

Effectively no more slow zones on the Red Line, the last 14s are likely just ops which will clear tomorrow.

Exciting stuff! All heavy rail is (almost) slow zone free!

Check out this MBTA slow zone tracker that I helped bring to BlueSky.

@transitmatters.bsky.social has been doing great work visualizing the performance of the T and keeping the MBTA accountable.
