The largest No margin came from a gated community in Laguna Niguel along Morning Dove

84.6% voted No

Why I voted no:
Residents were not given an opportunity to learn about the streamlining process.
No other cities in Orange County currently use this process regularly and I was concerned about the potential risks or liabilities.
Less opportunity to review, discussion, and give input on agenda items.

Here's an article describing the changes to how council members can add agenda items in our City Council. Also, just a reminder, an e-bike safety presentation and discussion are on the agenda for the 3/10/25 meeting at 6pm.

I got the opportunity to meet with the volunteers and families working with Peer 1 on 1, a local non-profit that works with youth who are neurodivergent. They asked me to speak last month at one of their events. I want to especially thank Erni and John for sharing their experiences as parents.

I wanted to share that a disturbing symbol was recently used to deface one of our parks. Our parks and public spaces should be places where everyone feels safe and welcome. Let’s show that hate has no place in our community.
