That is a complex question! For the Edmonton area, we have been witnessing record setting growth and prices in the last few years, but we are comparatively quite cheap when compared to Toronto and Vancouver areas. Our lower prices allow families who couldn't buy elsewhere afford a living here!

Correct! Before then it was considered it's own municipality before the amalgamation in August of 1964! Population growth and economics of the era were certainly different than they are today, but the historical growth of suburban communities contribute to the entire Greater Edmonton Area!
