More than half of my listening lately is to friends/peers in my local scene and I've never been more excited about music!

I love that this could plausibly be a picture of *the people* in Water From Your Eyes, but anyone with even a passing familiarity with them immediately recognizes that this is not a photo of *the band*

I like this compressor, it adds a lot of smack to drums, very smoothly levels bass and vocals. The HF response leaves something to be desired. I know some people mod these to improve fidelity, so I might look into that. Certainly worth the $50 I paid! #dbx #163x #compressor #repair #electronics

I replaced it with a new (much physically smaller) capacitor.

Side note, anyone know why the caps in this thing are so big? I had to go up to a 250V just to fit the lead spacing, and it was still HALF the size of the original.

"C12" is the coupling capacitor between the input buffer and the sidechain circuit, so if it's gone, the sidechain hears nothing, and no compression occurs. Easiest diagnosis of my life.

I opened it up to see what was rattling around, and this capacitor flopped out. Well there's your problem!
