Our longer-term goal is to develop a robust hybrid model that leverages the strengths of different modelling approaches (system dynamics and agent-based) to capture both demand and supply of maternal and child health services during floods and heatwaves.

The model is built around state charts #tracking women through #pregnancy (antenatal clinic visits and deliveries) and #vaccination of infants. #Next steps include #tailoring the model to #Zambia and #Brazil using #real data and #stakeholder input.

The workshop brought together researchers from Zambia, Brazil, Austria, Kuwait, Uganda, and the UK, with an in-person hub in Vienna.
