2) Thousand Year Door getting a physical release vs. an NSO release, which is purely digital. Mega Man V on Game Boy, for example, hasn't gone down in price even after a couple of years being on NSO.

I think it's a mix of:
1) Thousand Year Door releasing on Switch 1, which has 150 million units out there vs. 10 million people with access to the Gamecube app on Switch 2 and

If we can get HD-2D versions of 4-6 and maybe a remake of 8 and/or 9, Switch 2 can finally become the ultimate Dragon Quest machine it was born to be.

This 97-year-old corporation pads out Persona announcements the old-fashioned way.

If you ever need a super quick couple of games you can beat in like 2-3 hours, the Toree games are super fun and fast paced

Unfortunately, just like Twitter, it's already being taken over by a right-wing ghoul (Larry Ellison/Oracle) who wants to change its algorithm to 24/7 Trump propaganda. If people want to use it as a Twitter replacement, time is very limited for that app.

A desperate man, very close to death, attempting to make a "strong man" legacy for himself before he goes. Selfishness and evil to the bitter fucking end.

This is definitely in the realm of goated indie games from the pre-FNAF/Undertale era, up there with Amnesia and Stanley Parable.

Virtual Boy - We'll see most of the 14 games come out over this year but I have a feeling 1-2 of the games will be missing until next year. People will complain about these missing games like they genuinely care about the Virtual Boy library (they don't).

GBA - Only 2-3 updates this year but we'll get some good stuff. I think we'll get HM: Friends of Mineral Town and Nightmare in Dream Land.

Gamecube - Another big year with 5-6 updates. Outside of the games we know about, I think we'll see Melee, but not without controversy with the implementation.

Genesis - Much like NES, another bad year with only one update. I'm rooting for Phantasy Star II or III to make it this time.

N64 - Only 4 updates this year, but we'll finally get big additions people have begged for constantly like DK64, Conker and Smash Bros.

SNES - It'll be an okay year with 2-3 updates. I can see games like Ogre Battle or Zombies Ate My Neighbors get added this year.

Game Boy/Color - This'll be the big year for this app. Think like 5-6 updates with 3-4 games per update. We'll finally get Wario Land 1/2 and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.

This but it'll be a Super Metroid remake before Metroid 6 imo

You also just can't use the old let's play format on modern games. Most popular new games are at least 40+ hours and trying to use the old formula with 15-20 min episode would make every playthrough 150+ episodes.

We're at the point that lots of online communities hit at a certain point where something plateaus in interest and only an obsessed core audience is still watching. Most creators who were piggybacking off the growth of the community are out, and it's just the passionate few creators left. Kinda nice
