Guild Wars: Reforged was just announced and I'm overjoyed. As a long time fan of both GW and GW2, I am hoping this will give a whole new patina to the old game -- although I am way behind getting my characters going. I'll be in Reforged to when it launches.

It's not unexpected that if people are using an AI model as a "friend" and are used to its presence that they will need closure when its shut down. The sudden removal of GPT-4o and other models is more than just a customer service snafu on OpenAI's part.

Well that drama came on fast. I don't have a huge connection to GPT-4o, but now that GPT-5 is out I haven't had a chance to try it since writing about it yesterday. All AI models have the potential of becoming the foundation of parasocial relationships.

I'm sure everyone notice that Grok went crazy recently (understatement). It could have been avoided with some simple, proactive testing. I wrote about it. Go check it out. Hopefully AI industry isn't barreling towards a brick wall. Let me know what you think.
