What I stand by in terms of scripture is that transgenderism, cis gender, etc. does not fall in line with the Bible's teaching that God created us as male or female, and we should live in accordance with His design.

The context in which you were mentioning scripture is important to consider - there is no mention in the bible about these "people in the grey". Back then, only man and woman was recognized and Jesus and his disciples provided guidance to the binary.
