I’m saying this as a fan of the series. I like Blitz as a character but he’s very shoot first find justification later kind of person.
Being a contract killer still knocks you down a few pegs on the morality scale. Sure he isn’t pure evil but his business is still built on taking lives. He didn’t even know the murder family were a murder family he took the job because it paid.
