I'm old enough that I set my thermostat to HELL and I'm ok with it. If you're hot, stand outside.
Our pellet stove is set to 78° and the room is in the low 80s, by the time it makes it upstairs we are all sleeping in the mid to low 60s. Electric heaters for when the wind blows.

I wrapped books from my wife's bedside collection and had my 4 (adult) kids give them to her for Christmas. We did well until she unwrapped a used book and it clicked.
