Sadly I don't feel things have changed much from after Sept 11, 2001 when many were ok with extra scrutiny of people that "appeared" to be from the Middle East. I got an ID check by soldiers with guns at the Denver airport back then.

Wow, my wife does the majority of the driving on our 6 hr trips to her sister's house. Solo driving over 2 hours isn't safe for me at this point - I get drowsy too quickly.
