So, I work in a middle school and, as I often have to remind students, being right does not excuse behavior that is insubordinate and disruptive to the learning environment. Students are very keen to think about what they are arguing but often neglect to consider how they make those arguments.

As a educator with nearly two decades of experience in middle schools, I can confidently say that 7th grade is the bottom of the barrel. High school is an improvement but, I agree, being an adult is pretty rad.

I am saddened by the lack of nuance and insight in this thread. The underlying point is an important one and worthy of serious discussion. Perhaps this thread is better placed in that other messaging app where this kind of one-sided, myopic argument is embraced.
