Mouthwashing (2024) PS1 inspired first person psychological horror game that tackles #themes and #subjects As far as actual gameplay goes there's not much here to talk about. That said, the experience of playing it has genuinely stuck with me since i finished it a few weeks ago. Good game i think!

Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom (2024)
A fun little Collectathon where you play as a little windup toy taxi. I played it on a fightstick for some reason and that was perfect. My only complaint was that sometimes the way the levels interacted with gameplay felt too loose. Probably a great speedrun game.

Fellas, its peak. Go play it. This Toby Fox guy is pretty good at directing. Character writing, set pieces, music and battles are great as always. Can't wait to try to go for all the secret stuff later.

If your 2D action hack and slash doesn't have any achievements for hitting a combo it's a bad sign. It's a Meta Narrative game first and an Action game second and if I'm honest? Not very good on either front. Gimmick gets old like 20 minutes in really. Cute character tho.

The character writing was really good, but the story kind of fumbled. The tweak system is also lacking and retroactively made the exploration element a little weaker to me. That said, really good Metroidvania. Fun and gorgeous, just wish it was a bit more.

Shantae: Risky's Revenge (2010)
A bit rough around the edges in comparison to the more modern shantae games. Short and fun enough but unless you already like the series, I'd start with pirate's curse instead. The most interesting part was the foreground stuff but they didn't expand on it enough imo.

Warioware but with the Rivals of Aether cast. Microgames are something i've never tried so I can't speak on how this holds up to the genre. All that said I had a lot of fun with it! I like how they throw random games at you that you need to figure out on the spot.

This game is sick if you can get over how awful the controls feel initially. If you stick with it you will start to understand it and then it feels amazing. BUT, I do think some of the boss rooms and enemies felt borderline unplaytested. Not necessarily difficult but not fun.

Not sure why this flew under my radar for as long as it did. Metroidvania with a touhou skin. Really captures the bullet hell roots. The timestop mechanic is sick as well. Really focuses on the Boss Fights and makes sure they're cool and engaging. Not too long either.

It's Amy's birthday so she booked a Murder Mystery Train event. Visual novel with a mini game that you would expect to see from one of the Sonic special levels you play every once in a while for the Interrogations. Must play for Sonic fans.

This game is really just dated. The lock-on fire plays the game for you, but the manual aim feels awful. 7 Levels, like an hour tops of gameplay, and ZERO spectacle. I'm sure this game looked amazing on the Saturn and that was enough back then, but now...eh.

A tiny kirby inspired platformer that you can knock out in just shy of an hour. Great use of 1 dollar. The game itself is very funny and very tightly made. I wish there was more! Maybe I'll just replay it.
