2/ Deer density varied widely (0.14–18.17 individuals/km²), with P. nemorivagus having the highest numbers.
Key threats? Poaching, domestic dog predation, disease from livestock & wild boar competition. These pressures may drive local extinctions if left unchecked.

1/ Remote-sensing indices like the Global Human Influence Index (GHII) didn’t correlate with our AII, suggesting they may miss key local pressures such as poaching, plant exploitation & invasive species.
