In my very traditional prep school in the '50s we used "Pax", not as a surrender but a cessation of hostilities when things had reached a deadlock. I remember "Fains I" when spurning something, as opposed to "Bags I" when we wanted something.

She's obviously not the villain that some people are alleging but still she did the honourable thing by resigning. Honour - a concept unknown to Trump and his henchmen.
