I almost wish I hadn’t read it. Trump outplayed the American legal system, with help from AG Garland. Now he can dismantle that system from the White House. No consequences. None.

I hope there is a group watching Trump & his cabal, prepared to act when he crosses the line into true autocracy & flouting of the Constitution. Our legal system cannot protect democracy from this man, his greedy circle nor, obviously, the craven Republicans in the House, Senate & SCOTUS.

I’ve long wondered: what do they think will happen to the people who rely on social nets if the social nets are eliminated? Consider the homeless problem the US already has. Do conservatives expect (hope?) all people needing some support will just quietly die?

I’m relieved not to see a photo of Michael Flynn among them.

So, as always, the crucial things are what men like, what doesn’t discomfit them? Will this ever stop?

There’s plenty of concern. What are we supposed to do? Trump was legally elected. Power will be transferred peacefully. But at what point should citizens act if a presidency devolves into dictatorship, betraying the Constitution? Are there knowledgeable people making worst-case plans?

You know, though, House Republicans will still insist they have a mandate from their “landslide” victory.
