In the language of my grandparents, the word is “mensch”.
Tonight I searched for a software product I had heard about but never used, and the download page asked me this question in the bottom corner. Maybe I'm just aggressively autistic, but this seems like a foolish question to me; I literally just got here and you ask me to recommend you to others?

That feeling when you search for an editor extension and the one that sorts to the top (above the one you're looking for) has a lower rating, fewer downloads, and is literally published by "MASSIVE DANGER". What the hell is the sort heuristic here?

I think they decided to add this message because of the strange tendency people have to immediately believe anything they read on the internet, but I think if they'd put the warning "Human content may contain mistakes or outright lies" on everything from the start, we'd be a little better off today.
