Just got my delivery from @bookshop-org.bsky.social.

Preparing to talk about housing and infrastructure later this year in our coverage at @link-nky.bsky.social.

Interested to hear what you think of these books, if you've read them.

I got an email from my press association yesterday about this.

Definitely what I wanted to hear when we've planned more print editions than ever this year!
Most newsprint comes from Canada. Very cool! Very good and very cool that this is happening! They certainly know what they're doing this time!
Leavitt: "The president will be implementing tomorrow 25 percent tariffs on Mexico, 25 percent on Canada, and a 10 percent tariff on China."

I moved to Northern Kentucky 18 years ago from Northeast Ohio.

We never get snow here, at least not like up home.

Tonight, we are having a proper blizzard and I'm loving it. We took the dog out to the floodwall for a walk and we could barely see to Ohio.

Same.

And now I have a TV that my neighbors can comfortably watch from across two yards and a street.
Decided to upgrade my TV and I have severely underestimated the difference between 55" and 77"

We just moved, and as the owners of FAR TOO MANY BOOKS (even though we're library super-users), I can add that using your local library will save your middle-aged back. (Or that of your husband, if he's the one carrying all the boxes of books up the stairs to the attic library.)
The cool thing about using your local library to read books is that it's quite the space saver for your home.

Today I'm struggling with how difficult it is to run a news organization in 2024. Our coverage is better than ever, three years in. But revenue generation seems even harder. Budget cuts, reduced philanthropy, all of it. I'm not sure, some days, how to keep my chin up and fight the good fight.

As the daughter of a librarian, I am moved by the number of library lovers I see here.

Libraries are often the last shred of our social safety net, a place where anyone can feel safe, get information free of any paywall, and (certainly in my case) find solace in the words of others.
