The Abdorrahman Boroumand Center has documented at least 1,728 executions in Iran so far in 2025, including 303 in November, the deadliest month of the year. In just the first four days of December, 46 more people have been executed.

On 3 November 2022, concurrent with the 40-day commemoration ceremony for Hadis Najafi, security forces fired pellet rounds at Sepehr Azami, striking him in the face and chest.

He succumbed to his injuries 33 days later in the hospital due to the severity of the wounds.

The body of #Atefeh_Naami, an activist in the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests, was found in her home in Karaj on November 26, 2022.
She joined the protests because she said she couldn’t stay silent. She distributed her handwritten notes among people, urging everyone to join the protests.

The Islamist regime of Iran has turned into an unstoppable murder machine!
According to the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center, the Islamic Republic has carried out at least 1,661 executions in Iran since the start of 2025 including nine public executions.

November alone accounts for 283 executions to date.

According to the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center, the Islamic Republic has carried out at least 1,543 executions in Iran since the start of 2025, the highest level in 30 years, averaging one person every five hours. November alone accounts for 166 executions to date.

On the night of November 15, 2022, Shahriar Mohammadi secretly removed the body of his friend, Mohammad Hassanzadeh—killed during the protests—from Gholipour Hospital in Bukan to prevent security forces from seizing it, and took it to his hometown village.

The Islamic Republic continues to systematically violate the right to life by executing its own citizens for non-violent offences such as transporting drugs. So far this year, over 575 alleged drug offenders have been executed, often after deeply flawed trials.

October 27th marks the 3rd anniversary of Sarina Sa’edi’s burial —a young girl who was killed by security forces’ batons. But like so many others, her death was officially declared a suicide, and to hide the truth, her grieving family was pressured, detained, and even imprisoned.

The very definition of irony!
Mizan, the news agency of Iran’s Judiciary, featured a headline in its “Human Rights” section about a record number of 40 executions in the United States in 2025 — while, during the same period, 1,332 people have been executed in Iran.
