I worked in education when we couldn’t do a fucking thing about kids holding up their hands like guns at their friend’s heads. It was a great time to work in an elementary school and have to sit there and just vaguely tell the students, “Hey let’s make good choices, okay?”

We let our neighbor borrow our shovel and when my husband went to ask for it back a few hours later… they didn’t have it. It’s been 2 days. We’ll never see our shovel again. Our neighbors would watch us go toe to toe with the gestapo from their windows and not lift a finger.
