I went downtown to do some shopping and the Plaza looked so peaceful this morning. I love that tree, and the fountains in the pond. 🧡

Good morning, Friends!

Happy #ThrowbackThursday (2017). Times are rough, but be sure to keep the twinkle in your eye. 😊❤️

Pretty photo from last year. Even when the trees lose their leaves, the beauty remains. ❤️

Good morning, Friends.

Enjoying the trees' last curtain calls as we prepare to say good-bye to their annual presentation of beauty beyond measure. ❤️

I agree with Rand Paul? What's the world coming to?
Rand Paul: "This is an insane policy. It's inconsistent. It's not war. It's not the way we've ever done this. If we can blow up a boat in the ocean, what about when they get to Miami & put it in a truck? Can you shoot a grenade launcher at the truck? No! We arrest people b/c sometimes we're wrong."

Few Americans remember that, before the ACA, aka Obamacare, we were denied health insurance due to pre-existing conditions. We applied, but were denied for any condition we ever had, including headaches or asthma. It was only Obamacare that did away with that.

Listening to this right now. LOVE this version.

Did you know this? It was written in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was meant as a call for worldwide prayer for peace, resonating deeply due to the very real threat of nuclear war at the time.

Good morning! A favorite quote:

"Given another shot at life, I would seize every minute of it - look at it and really see it, try it on, live it, exhaust it … and never give that minute back until there was nothing left of it."

“Stars give the illusion of permanence, but they're always flaring up and caving in and going out. So I pretend. Worlds don't last; and stars and galaxies are transient, fleeting things that twinkle like fireflies and vanish into cold and dust.

But I can pretend.” -Neil Gaiman*

This is a heart-shaped mud puddle that appears on the side of one of our streets in town every single year after the first rainfall. If you ever wonder what I mean when I say that beauty is everywhere, waiting for us to notice, this is one example. 🥰

My Dad was there that day.

The day that 2,403 service members and civilians were killed.

Good morning, Friends. Thought for the day:

“You can live three days without water. You can live three weeks without food. But you cannot live for three minutes without hope.” 🩷💚

It's feeling very wintry these days, what with California-cold temps and pink sunrises. Bundle up, buttercups.
