One thing about this trip, is that the weather forecast feels more like Scotland than the med!! It’s changed every single day. It’s at least not as chilly as Scotland at this time of the year. Today it’s chucking it down, so 4 of us are having a spa day

Tbh you can make a basic pasta sauce using tinned chopped tomatoes and either garlic or onion. That’s how Italians make it. Not sure how expensive tinned toms are in the uk? I can buy them for 65cents here.

I bought a new toaster last year (~100€ new, 20€ in the sale) bc I thought the elements in my cheap 30€ one were dying. Turned out that heavy Dinkelbrot just doesn’t toast easily! 🤦‍♀️

I think it’s a force of habit to get up early? My dad still got up at 6am after he retired as he’d go to the shop to get the newspapers before we got up abt 7. Also, a lot of holiday lets are still sat-sat/sun-sun? Last Friday was mental on the RB from Itzehoe to HH.

😲 wow! That is a very long time to be taking chemo treatment 😖
this isn’t a replacement for tamoxifen? I was on that for 5 years and even my friend who had her dx in 2019 was on it too

How many more rounds do you need to go? Just check with the cheaper ones that they have a reminder function/link with the calendar. I’ve generally read that xiomi are decent for their price.

*sigh* Everytime I want to start exercising again, something happens to stop it. After getting the pain in my knee under control (thanks physio!), I’ve now picked up a cold 🤧 🙄 I fear this is also a consequence of getting older 😑

My chemo was so different to these every-day pills though. I tried to work 2 days after treatment but realised it wasn’t worth it after the 1st round. As long as it’s working, that’s the main thing and don’t push yourself too hard! 🤗

Oh nein. Do you have a smart watch? That can alert you if the phone isn’t nearby? Obviously, make sure it actually reminds you! I’ve done that before, put it in the calendar and forget to set the reminder 🙈😅

However, I’m very impressed that you’re able to work through this! I do hope that they’re understanding of your condition and its side effects? I’d hope they’d be grateful you’re trying to work thru it rather than taking the time off sick?

Ugh :( can I suggest reminders for your appointments using your phone to help alleviate that issue? With Apple, you can set travel time and then an alert x minutes before you need to leave. I think Google Calendar has similar. Even w/out drugs I need shopping reminders or I always forget something!

Exactly. Tbh I make it part of my evening routine to watch the bits of the shows I want to watch. Other YT podcasts I’ll watch when I’m washing up or cooking/eating. The Daily Beast (esp Inside Trump‘s Head) are interesting and eye opening too
