I do in fact feel bad for the sane and decent people over there but the US as a nation has been sowing hell on Earth all over the world for most of its existence so I'd be lying if I said I didn't find a bit cathartic watching it experiencing a bit of karma for once.

We're more than 100 days into the US clown show. South Korea's president tried to make himself a dictator and the population ousted his sorry ass. The US, for all its bluster on the world stage, is still meekly wringing its collective hands as your new dictator wannabe ruins lives. The US is a joke.

I'm not convinced you train them to really uphold the law either, just follow orders. American cops have next to no training compared to other so-called First World nations and are given enormous lee way in how they behave towards the public. They also don't seem to have much actual oversight.

Stop sitting in your house on the internet and join the protests. They do work, as multiple other countries have recently proven. I'm not American but I'm watching what's going on over there with a complete lack of surprise that the American population is all talk unless they're bombing someone else

If your Democrats regain anything they'll just re-establish the status quo. They've been showing the world exactly how weak and ineffectual they are. You've got a party of fascists and a party of corporate sycophants who's only real care is that they don't have to get their hands dirty.

Shitty as it must be for the supposedly decent cops, standing by and doing nothing does not absolve them of guilt. They chose their profession ostensibly to do good. They are the "power" behind the "strong man". Silence is complicity.

Them earning such colossal incomes in the first place is theft too. No single human being is physically capable of doing enough work to justify being paid the net worth of entire nation states. They rob their workers twice. Once on pay day and again on tax day.

Not so sure they really *are* stealing without a gun. They may not personally be holding one but who shows up to break up strikes and intimidate workers when they demand better wages? Guys with guns. The second biggest legalized gang in any given country after the military.

I don't believe in Christian (or any other) mythology. It's all nonsense written by primitive people who didn't have a better frame of reference for how the world worked and who needed a way to control their populations' thoughts for their own benefit. Agreed, which is one silver lining I'm seeing to the current shit show in the US. The US will not recover quickly from Donald's damage and I have a sincere hope that the rest of the world comes out of this a lot less beholden to the tantrums of the US on the world stage.
