I agree. It's something you and your partner discuss for ages. Even when you're in it you communicate all the time, because boundaries change. Been ENM for over 10 years, with two years of discussions before we even dipped our toes in. I've seen some nasty breakups and divorces.
Poly/ENM is not the answer for fixing your crappy marriage.
