I try to always make a toile (or muslin whatever you call it) and that gives me some experience in letting go of the fiddling. But when making the real thing, I will fiddle no matter what.

But like @suw.bsky.social says, when you want fitting clothes you sometimes have no other options and also the fabrics, all the fabrics, they are so beautiful.
