as someone who rents a commercial space for her business here in Philly, and knows many other small business owners, whatever you think residential rent inflation is, it’s 10 times worse for commercial rents. the only people who can afford it are Chipotle and Starbucks

i have been going to mine for 15 years. they greet me by name, want to know how my business doing, what projects i’m up to. they cut plywood for me cause i’m afraid of table saws. priceless.
