I agree with MamdanI on "space," though I find religion to be the social organization type most responsible for the most misery caused by humans on earth, for both its people and all else that is of and by and for the planet. But this group being protested against is and Israeli government supported one that IS pushing for the Jewishification of all of Palestine, a movement fraught with those of a mind to murder all in Palestine who are not Jewish (less expedient, hardly really supported, expatriate them to any other country--as we are doing with many of our not so white immigrants) so that biblically excused (fucking absurd) expropriation of land can take place.

Yes, "time to take sides" is what Chris Murphy said after President Donald Trump said (being interpreted as slipped and said and/or blurted out-implying an accident or a really did not mean it--bullshit) that some members of the US Congress should be tried (by whose courts?) for sedition and sentenced to be executed, this for a video that called upon members of the US military to refuse to follow orders that violated the law as should exist as per the Constitution of the United States of America.

The screwed up logic offered up in the discussion in the attached article has much to do with what is wrong with the American discourse, if such a thing actually exists. First, few "sensible" people would want to enter into a discussion in which the conservative columnist/yes, podcaster, is the more sensible of the two in a discussion where there are two people whose world views are warped.

I watched the first episode and twitched and burned, again, because of what It made me understand about my understanding, lack thereof, of the story of the United States of America. I am not a historian, but I read in history and political science and such and think, now an again, that I have a decent grasp of things. I love the story of the creation of the Declaration of Independence and the wrangling that went on to get a Constitution written and then accepted by the states so that the nation could be formed.

So many, yes, many amongst them, are so fucking blind to how policy gets made or the organizations that own the legislative process because they own the legislators, far too many of them. ACA was a way to avoid what the Democrats fear, along with their Republican cronies, and that is something that interferes with capitalistic robbery that enriches a few and takes away from the many the opportunity to live securely and decently.
