I know right! Makes me long for the 1980’s-90’s when Jessie Jackson actually negotiated the release of POW’s and hostages. And people accused him of showboating. Nevertheless the senator has my gratitude. Looking forward to his update.

Senator Van Hollen deserves our gratitude for getting as far as he did and reporting back to Garcia’s family and Americans that Garcia is alive. But hero is a stretch. Negotiating release would get him hero status. Complete the mission.

Nine if you count the three soldiers aboard the US Army Blackhawk helicopter involved in mid air collision with American Airlines plane on January 29, 2025. Don’t know if he mentioned them. I tend to tune him out.

Pls do not feel shame. I’m not sick or disabled (altho old and everyday there’s a new worrisome pain). I have worked for 50 years, and depend on SS, to live on. What I am ashamed of is I live in a country where seniors have to fight for basic needs and rights. Feel better. We fight for you.

I remember Shaquille, saying back when Obama first ran, that he had never voted before. Blew my mind. I doubt seriously he educated himself since then. He left himself to be sucked in.

In 2020 Law enforcement used smoke canisters and rubber bullets to break up a peaceful protest taking place in front of the White House. CNN's Boris Sanchez reports. Rubber bullets, although designed as a less-lethal alternative to metal bullets, can still pose serious risks.
