Won't shut up.
How’s that work?

Shifting the Overton Window on socialism is more important than short term gains that can be lost in a single election cycle and will be resisted though economic terrorism by the ownership class.

The whole point was they’re struggling over what the structure is because it doesn’t exist yet

Why should actual socialists who don't want to be part of a trotskyist MLM have no political home in the UK? We have been denied a party committed to socialism since clause 4 (see below) was removed from the Labour Party by Blair.

You can't work toward a goal without articulating what that goal is. And it's far too moderate for an *end* game lol. We can do so much more.

Its a good idea whether or not it's popular.

There will need to be a broader public control of industry even with worker co-ops and stuff, worker co-ops are still forced to adhere to the logic of capitalist competition. It's a good option for decentralising management of small enterprises with minimal externalities but not alone.

This has nothing to do with Corbyn.

What if people are actually socialists and not just "progressive" why should they not have a political structure through which to express their beliefs? We have been denied one too long. I was never interested in politics before but this is what I am here for.

You could have a grace period for people to get things sorted even. It'd be fine. More radical transformations have happened repeatedly under capitalism.

Simply make the purchase of labour power illegal and the penalty for purchasing labour being exporpriation.

Free enterprise is still entirely permitted but only if all workers of said enterprise own it in common and are not economically subordinated or exploited and share in democratic managment.

What's the issue you have with it?
December 3, 2025 at 4:55 AM
I want serious abolishing of capitalism in the UK.

Arguably I would have only committed a few of them and then been incarcerated but I live in the UK I'd be out in a week to commit more crimes 😎

It has kept me so busy scrolling I have not committed a large number of attention and thrill seeking crimes that I undoubtably otherwise would have committed for thrills and attention.

This but unironically.

I think it also, while theoretically good, easily opens up the avenue of "this is a real workers movement honest, send weapons" when govts wanna do "special operations". (And the fell for it again awards shall flow freely and there will be war across the lands).

I hate that I could wholeheartedly get behind this if there wasn't an absurd conflation between struggles between "imperialist powers" and the palestinian resistance.

I know what MMTers believe, but money merely represents value. You cannot "create" new value without productive activity. The MMT description of *currency* creation is correct for currency but completely obfuscates the purpose of currency, pretending that international markets will play along.
