Where do you find your beautiful words? Each day, I am amazed. I see your beauty and the beauty of Ukraine.

I feel so useless watching this from my distance. But know that this Canadian of Ukrainian descent sees you, hears you, hopes for peace. Only words, I know. But sent from my heart. You and Ukraine are important to me.

“Generators sing about hope”. The way you find the most powerful words is symbolic of your and Ukraine’s ability to endure.

“Strength that refuses to fade”. I add this sentence to the list of powerful words you have used to describe Ukraine and her people.

Such beauty and resilience. Those words describe her work, you and your writing and sharing, and the powerful Ukraine and her people.

“Tender Ukrainian Art”: what beautiful words for a beautiful painting.

Your words are in my heart daily. Today, it looked like our Canadian flag was hugging the Ukrainian flag.

So interesting and important to read. Today, on a backroads motorcycle trip in Ontario, Canada, I saw two Ukrainian flags flying proudly. Along with the mini flag on my jacket. And soon I will be sending postcards to Defenders Ukraine!

You have posted so many memorable statements. Today’s “Life is fragile, but survivors are not.” will stay with me forever. May you stay safe. May Ukraine stay strong.

The mention of Ukrainian bread sent me back to my Auntie Dora’s yeast buns with beet leaves, dill and onions. Don’t know what they were called, but tasting them in my memory right now here in Canada. The Ukrainian diaspora remembers and supports.

Not a perfect single word, but I read a lovely expression for it: singing ice!

As we contemplate a new kitten after the recent loss of our rather aloof but much missed cat, Mandy, we hope to find a cuddler like Benedict!

Heading east? Go to Canora. Where my great grandparents landed. Strong Ukrainian influence. A beautiful welcome from “Lesia”. And a stunning Ukrainian Heritage Museum. We visited in 2023.
