I canceled WaPo too but hung on to NYT.

Thank you for this! It's a nice one, as ear worms go.

(I'm sorry it makes you uncomfortable to have to face President Obama's war crimes. I voted for him and loved him too.)

Of course I know it's a parody account. But the parody doesn't work when it pretends to ignore the most glaring analogy to the current situation that actually exists.

(Tbf, the real analogy would be Barack Obama ordering signature strikes on unidentified individuals in Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia, countries with whom we were not at war.)

I'd really like to see her have a conversation with Peter Beinart.

Left to Right:
Jeff Mason (Reuters), Shawn McCreesh (NYT), and ?
Anyone know the third guy?

What, do you want everybody to ignore this stuff? That's called normalization. It's difficult to know just how to respond, and there's such a thing as feeling shocked but not surprised. I personally want pressure put on the press corps to find solidarity and push back on the president.

The very next question should have been, "Why do you feel comfortable being a bully, Mr. President?"
November 28, 2025 at 4:09 AM
That was really good. Thanks for posting.

Well, if you're going to get all grammatical on us, the "piggy" is capitalized because it's direct address.

Right? I was thrown by that.

Thank you, Lina Khan.

I am genuinely curious how many people, roughly speaking, are defending the killings. There will always be a handful of ghouls no matter the topic. Is this that, or is it something more substantial? Anybody know?

I just don't understand how this isn't *exactly* what these people (by whom I mean the heavily online people who voted for Trump) complained about re DEI, identity politics, cancel culture, etc. It's just the same old illiberalism in different clothing.

This can't be true.

(I read it earlier on Twitter. He's just so smart and big picture oriented. He always makes so much sense to me.)

I really appreciated and learned from this. Thank you.

I don't think he's talking about the term.

Right. This is why it was the northern pols, not the southern ones, who wanted them counted as less than a whole person. (They wanted them not to count at all, in fact. The 3/5 was a compromise.)
