The best part of any festival is, of course, the readers—and the other authors!—and it was so cool to meet French fantasy readers and French fantasy authors at Echos & Merveilles ❤️ (Everyone is linked at my IG if you want to find them :)

The pet dragon showing at Echos & Merveilles festival was pretty fabulous ❤️❤️ (Has anyone seen these kind of dragons in the US? I hadn’t and now I need one…)

This is Lilith, another one of the creatures at Halle de la Machine in Toulouse 😍😍 Imagine seeing her make her way through the city to rendez-vous with the Minotaur!

An incredible thing that I saw yesterday in Toulouse! Behold the Minotaur, by La Machine, the incredible French company that make colossal creature machines—You can see the two “machinistes” in orange who are puppeteering it, and the passengers on its back!!

These peonies always bloom way ahead of the rest and they’re so magnificent, I always feel a burst of gratitude to the unknown soul who lived in our house in the past and planted them ❤️
